Evensong Service – 44th Anniversary of Independence of Antigua and Barbuda
Westminster Abbey, 20 Deans Yard, London SW1P 3PA,

Venue: Westminster Abbey, 20 Deans Yard, London SW1P 3PA Transport and Access: Tube / Underground: Westminster station (Jubilee, Circle, and District lines) – 3 to 5-minute walk. St James’s Park station (District and Circle lines) is also within walking distance. Bus: Several bus routes stop nearby, including 11, 24, 26, 88, and 148, as well as some night buses. The Westminster Abbey stop (“W” or “X”) is served by route 88, and the “Great Smith Street / Westminster Abbey” stop (“R”) is served by buses 11, 24, 26, 148, N11, N26, N44, and N136. Train / Rail: Visitors often arrive via London Waterloo, transferring via the Jubilee line to Westminster and walking to the Abbey. The Abbey is well connected to mainline and suburban rail via nearby interchanges. Car / Drop-off: Drop-off by car or taxi is possible near Broad Sanctuary or Victoria Street. Note that central London traffic and congestion zone restrictions may apply. Seating and Capacity: Westminster Abbey is a large historic church, but for Evensong services, seating is relatively limited to certain areas such as the Quire and adjacent choir stalls. Full attendance for a choral Evensong can reach approximately 700 people. Seating is allocated on a first-come basis, so arriving early improves chances of securing a place in the Quire or other prominent areas. As Evensong is a service rather than a ticketed performance, attendees typically queue before the start time.
